- Attach motor bracket board to aluminum side plates with enclosed fasteners as shown
in illustration.
- Place assembled unit in desired location on the swim platform. Make sure that auxiliary
motor will be at the height recommended by the manufacturer and that
it will not be obstructed by the main motor or rudder.
- Make sure the
desired location of the bracket and auxiliary motor will not interfere
with the free movement of the main motor or rudder through its entire
swing.
- After finding a clear location on the swim platform for the bracket, mark the four
mounting holes on the swim platform by using the bracket as a template.
Drill 11/32" holes perpendicular to the swim platform and use installer
supplied 5/16" diameter stainless steel carriage bolts with flat washers
and nylon insert lock nuts on the underside of the swim platform. Swim
platform may have to be reinforced.
- Apply a marine sealant on the mounting bracket surfaces which contact the swim platform
and in the bolt holes through the swim platform and tighten the nuts
securely.
- Important: Rated for 2 stroke motors only to 10 H.P. Always use a safety chain
on the motor. Keep away from motor when in operation Periodically check
fasteners for tightness, retighten if needed Motor should be removed
from bracket when trailering.
